The Dental Implant procedure is actually pretty simple from the patient’s perspective.  Placing the implant is about a 1 hour appointment and is done in our office under local anesthetic.  Most patients are surprised that the procedure was so simple and usually only have to take an Ibuprofen or two that day and just go about their normal business.  The surgical area is very small and heals quickly with very little special care.  In most cases, a temporary tooth can be placed so the patient has a replacement tooth while the implant is healing.

At Sciascia Dental, we take advantage of the latest Implant technology and use a computerized system to guide the implant surgery.  By using a CAT Scan of the area, Dr. Sciascia can place the implant in a very precise position to get the best results.  This adds a great measure of safety and predictability to the Implant  procedure and helps guarantee the best chances for functional and esthetic success.
